YangWang U8L offers 1,180 hp (880 kW) from its quad-motor electric setup with a 2.0T range extender, plus 1,160 km combined range and 200 km of pure electric driving.
Dimensions are substantial: 5,400 mm long, 2,049 mm wide, 1,921 mm tall, with a 3,250 mm wheelbase. The layout is a 2+2+2 six-seat format with luxury features like zero-gravity second row and advanced AR HUD.
The U8L includes off-road and advanced mobility modes: tank turn, crab walk, emergency flotation, and a comprehensive ADAS suite (“God’s Eye A”) with lidar, radar, ultrasonics, etc.
YangWang positions the U8L as a full-size flagship SUV. It rides on the e⁴ (Yisifang) platform, with body measurements of 5,400 mm in length, 2,049 mm width, and 1,921 mm height. The vehicle’s wheelbase stretches to 3,250 mm.
The U8L adopts design cues that both signal luxury and capability. Features include hidden taillights, a split power tailgate, floating wheel caps, and large forged 23-inch eight-hole alloy wheels. Exterior finishes include blackened bumpers, body-colored side skirts, and chrome or gold-accented emblems—three 24-k gold logos are used in the “Dingshi Edition.”
Under the hood, the U8L has a quad-motor electric drive system assisted by a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine acting as a range extender. The combined system delivers 880 kW / 1,180 hp and 1,520 Nm of torque.
Electric-only range is rated at 200 km under CLTC standards, while the combined/equivalent range (battery + extender) is about 1,160 km. Acceleration from 0-100 km/h takes 3.5 seconds.
Battery size is 55.53 kWh. Fuel tank capacity is 90 litres in the extender system. Charging (fast-charge) from 30-80% battery takes around 13.5 minutes. Minimum turning radius is 5.45 m.
The U8L offers a host of technology and comfort features aimed at high-end buyers. The interior has a six-seat layout (2-2-2), with zero-gravity second-row seats that include leg rests, massage functions, armrest screens, and multiple modes like “Recline”, “Movie”, etc.
Infotainment includes a large central display (12.8-inch OLED), a wide instrument panel display (~23.6-inch), a co-pilot screen, and optional rear entertainment (ceiling screen). The AR head-up display is part of the suite. Cabin features also include up to 32 Dynaudio speakers, privacy windows, ambient lighting in many colors, heated and ventilated seats, wireless charging, and up to 14 USB/power ports.
